Copy this sentence into your LiveJournal if you're in a heterosexual marriage, and you don't want it "protected" by the bigots who think that gay marriage hurts it somehow.

Non-conformist, Visionary, and Independent

5 Abstract, 1 Islamic, 4 Ukiyo-e, -10 Cubist, -13 Impressionist and -5 Renaissance!

Abstract art uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which exists independently of what may appear to others as visual realities. Western had been underpinned by the logic of perspective and an attempt to reproduce an illusion of visible reality. It allowed the progressive thinking artists to show a different side to the world around them. By the end of the 19th century many artists felt a need to create a 'new kind of art' which would encompass the fundamental changes taking place in technology, science and philosophy. Abstract artists created art that was diverse and reflected the social and intellectual turmoil in all areas of Western culture.

People that chose abstract art as their preferred artform tend to be visionsaries. They see things in the world around them and in people that others may miss because they look beyond what is visual only with the eye. They rely on their inner thoughts and feelings in dealing with the world around them instead of on what they are told they should think and feel. They feel freed from the tendancy to be bound by traditional thought and experiences. They look more toward their own ideas and experiences than what they are told by their religious upbringing or from scientific evidence. They tend to like to prove theories themselves instead of relying on the insight or ideas of others. They are not bound by common and mundane, but like to travel and have new experiences. They value intelligence, but they also enjoy a challenge. They can be rather argumentative when they are being forced or feel as if they are being forced to conform.

It is snowing. It's late March in Portland, spring has sprung. There should not be snow. It's almost blasphemous. No I take that back, the almost part that is. It barely snowed all winter. Why now. I left Mi to get away from this ick. I wanna go back to bed but my head hurts and will not allow me.

HoodyFuckingHoo!! I passed the stupid class. I was sure I bombed my oral. But even if I did I am still maintaining my solid B for Japanese. Now if I can just get over the issues I have with the book and the class I can bring it back up to an A which is where it should be. But I will take a B. That being said, working at the zoo is cool. It's a lot of fun. The different posts in the dept are various enough to keep it from getting boring and they are smart about training people. But now I need food.

Got all the way to work to turn around and come home. It was a bad idea not just calling in again. The bus ride made me nauseus and the cold affected my ears. So they let me go home. I still have to work all weekend there though. Shortly after arriving home the power went out, it's out in the whole neighborhood. This is the second time it has gone out like this, I think it has to do with all the construction on Oleson rd. So in an effort to keep warm and to get something hot to drink I am at the coffee shop. I would rather be home on the couch. I can't wait until I'm no longer sick. I blame the weather here. One day it is perfect, the next cold and rainy. Or you get both several times in one day. At least it's not snow.

So here I am at the end of another term. Did my jp final on Monday, did not do so well with the spoken, but should pass the written with no problems. So over all I should pass this term, but will have to wait until next Wednesday to find out for sure. Sick again. It started on Sunday, so it didnt help when taking the final. I've been coughing up lungs all week, almost out. I don't know if it is the flu or bronchitus trying to take hold again. I'll hope for the flu, it will pass faster. Still things are looking up job wise, started a new job last week at the Oregon Zoo, still working at Game Stop and next week will be starting at the local ball park selling tickets. New term starts in just over a week, spring break starts next week. Can't wait to get back to school. I've come to enjoy the routine of studying and doing school work again.

One week of school left. This term has flown by. So far I'm passing, hopefully it stays that way with finals. I'm actually getting used to others and making friends, however I find myself wishing they were a bit older. Some are just a touch too young. Current job sucks. Not enough hours and too little pay. I hope to be getting a new job or at least one to supplement the one I have. I am sure that this one will be ending once christmas is over. Such is the way of mall retail life. I can't wait for the holidays to end. Thanksgiving was spent trapped in the kitchen cooking cleaning cooking cleaning. The day after dealing with idiots who felt it necassary to go to the mall and then get pissed because all of the other idiots also went to the mall. Oh well. Such is life, ne?
